Riverbank State Park: Compliance with Mission Statement and Selected Financial Management Practices (Follow-Up Review)

Riverbank State Park, which was opened in 1993, is a 28-acre multilevel landscaped recreational facility located in New York City on the rooftop of the North River Water Pollution Control Plant. In our prior audit report 99-S-35, we found that the Park had generally fulfilled its mission of serving its community in accordance with plans. However, we noted that certain actions could be taken by Park officials to strengthen internal controls over financial operations and enhance the services provided to the community. In our follow-up review, we found that most of our prior audit recommendations had been implemented.
