Y2K Compliance: Tracking and Billing System and Business Office System

OMRDD uses its Tracking and Billing System to bill Medicaid and to maintain data about individuals who are served, or may need services, through OMRDD. OMRDD uses its Business Office System to manage its budget for non-payroll costs. We conducted a review to assess whether OMRDD appears to be taking the necessary steps to address year 2000 problems for these two automated systems. The results of our review show that OMRDD is taking many of the steps necessary to address these problems. However, contingency plans must be prepared for the two systems so that services are not disrupted if data processing difficulties are encountered in relation to the year 2000.
