Y2K Compliance: Administrative Systems

Battery Park City Authority maintains automated systems to account for financial transactions and support a network of personal computers. We conducted a review to assess whether the Authority appears to be taking the necessary steps to address year 2000 problems for these automated systems. The results of our review show that the Authority is taking many of the steps necessary to address these problems. However, system testing was not documented and a formal contingency plan is needed to ensure that services are not disrupted if data processing difficulties are encountered in relation to the year 2000.
