Y2K Compliance: Consolidated Area Agency Reporting System

The Office for the Aging maintains the Consolidated Area Agency Reporting System, which is used to monitor the services and expenditures of the county agencies that are overseen by the Office. We conducted a review to assess whether the Office appears to be taking the necessary steps to address year 2000 problems for this automated system. The results of our review show that the Office is taking many of the steps necessary to address these problems. However, additional progress is needed in the development of a contingency plan to ensure that services are not disrupted if data processing difficulties are encountered in relation to the year 2000.
