Purpose

To notify the Division of State Police of the procedure for processing the Emergency Response Payment.

Affected Employees

Troopers in Bargaining Unit 07, Commissioned/Non-Commissioned Officers in Bargaining Unit 17

Payment Date

Payments may be submitted in 23L, check dated February 27, 2002

Contract Provisions and Eligibility Criteria

Chapters 8, 9, & 10 of the Laws of 2001, provides for an annual Emergency Response Payment for members in Bargaining Units 07 and 17.

Members who were assigned to the Y2K detail and were active on January 1, 2000 are eligible for payment. The amount of the payment is $201.82 (BU 17) and $214.59 (BU 07).

Agency Processing Instructions

The payment must be processed through the Time Entry Panel as follows:

Earnings Begin Date: 01/01/2000
Earnings End Date: 01/01/2000
Earn Code:  EMR
Amount: $201.82 or $214.59

Payroll Register and Employee's Check/Advice

The earn code EMR will be displayed on the payroll register. The earn code description, Emergency Response will appear on the employee's check stub or direct deposit advice.
