Change in Eligibility for the New York State Troopers PBA Signal 30 Fund and the New York State Police Investigators Association (NYSPIA) Emergency Assistance Fund

Purpose

To notify agencies that employees represented by NYSPIA may now contribute to the NYS Troopers PBA Signal 30 Fund and  employees represented by NYS Troopers PBA may now contribute to NYSPIA Emergency Assistance Fund.

Affected Employees

Employees represented by NYSPIA in Bargaining Unit 62, Employees represented by NYS Troopers PBA in Bargaining Units 07 & and 17, and employees in M/C State Police Bargaining Unit 18

Background

The unions have requested to allow employees to contribute to each other’s Emergency Assistance Funds.

OSC Actions

OSC will update PayServ to allow employees represented by NYSPIA to contribute to NYS Troopers PBA Signal 30 Fund (Deduction Code 481) and to allow employees represented by NYS Troopers PBA and M/C State Police to contribute to NYSPIA Emergency Assistance Fund (Deduction Code 482).
