To notify agencies of the removal of update access for Deduction Codes:

• 233 Public Employees Federation
• 247 Public Employees Federation A/S

Background

PEF electronically submits union dues/agency shop deduction information to OSC weekly. These deductions are then processed by OSC as a percentage of the employee salary. In a recent quality assurance review of certain payments to PEF members, OSC identified instances where dues/agency shop deductions were canceled in error. Since PEF dues/agency shop deductions are taken as a percentage of the salary paid, agency update for these deductions is not necessary.

Effective Date

July 16, 2004.

OSC will remove agency update access to Deduction Codes 233 and 247.
