|Subject||Additional Information Regarding the Change in the Manager of the NYS College Savings Program|
|Purpose||To provide additional information regarding previously issued Bulletin 435 - Change in the Manager of the NYS College Savings Program.|
|Affected Employees||Employees who participate in the College Savings Program.|
|Background||At the close of business on November 14, 2003, Upromise Investments, Inc. and The Vanguard Group, Inc. assumed responsibility for Program Management and Investment Management, respectively, of New York's College Savings Program.|
|OSC Actions||OSC updated all payroll records for employees who participate in the College Savings Program, with the new account information. The new BANK ID (Routing Number) 011001234 and the new account numbers were automatically entered into the employees' direct deposit records.|
Employees may call 1-877-NYSAVES or access
the website at www.nysaves.org for enrollment and account management
information. The new on-line enrollment form requires a "yes" response
to the "Are you employed by the State of New York?" question.
This response will direct the employee to the correct direct deposit form.
Upon completion of the enrollment/change process, employees will be instructed to print the on-line enrollment form and provide a signed copy to their payroll office.
If requested, an enrollment form will be mailed to employees who call 1-877-NYSAVES. Upon completion and signature this form should be submitted to the employee's payroll office.

Agencies will continue to enter the College Savings Program information on the Direct Deposit pages of an employee's record. The account type "checking" must be selected for these entries.
