Background
A change in the method used to calculate service credit days reported to ERS and PFRS for hourly employees was implemented in checks dated March 12, 2003 (see Payroll Bulletin #372, dated March 14, 2003). This change resulted in an increase in the number of days reported for employees working less than 75 hours a biweekly, plus the need for retroactive reporting for all affected employees.
OSC Actions
OSC has calculated differences for all affected employees from the beginning of PaySR through checks dated 3/6/03 and reported them to ERS. The majority of adjustments have been posted to employee accounts, although a small percentage that require additional research by ERS will be posted in the near future.
Agency Actions
Notify affected employees.
