Increase in the Security Enforcement Differential for Employees Represented by Council 82

Purpose

To inform agencies of OSC's automatic processing and to provide instructions to agencies for processing changes.

Affected Employees

Employees in the Security Supervisors Unit, Bargaining Unit 61, who have received a Security Enforcement Differential of $125 effective 01/01/00 - 03/31/00.

Effective Date

Administration cycle paychecks dated October 11, 2000 and Institution cycle paychecks dated October 19, 2000

Background and Payment Amount

As noted in Payroll Bulletin 183, the Security Enforcement Differential was originally established at $125, effective 1/1/00. Following additional discussions with GOER, it was determined that in order to comply with the terms of the negotiated agreement, the amount of the Differential should be increased to $500, effective 1/1/00, payable 1/6/00 (Administration) and 12/30/99 (Institution).

OSC Actions

OSC will automatically increase Annual Addl Earnings for the Security Enforcement Differential (SED) on the Additional Pay panel to $500.00 for all existing rows that have $125.00. OSC will automatically calculate retroactive adjustments resulting from the Increase in the SED.
