Direct Deposit Program
If you are filing for retirement, or are a retiree or beneficiary, you can sign up for our Direct Deposit Program and have your retirement benefits deposited directly into your bank account.
Enrolling in Direct Deposit is easy and once you are enrolled, your retirement benefit will be electronically deposited into your checking or savings account on the last business day of each month. Direct Deposit is quick and safe. In most instances, your money is immediately available and you will not have to rely on the Postal Service to deliver your check or wait in long lines at the bank to cash it.
You can enroll in our Direct Deposit Program at the same time you file for retirement. Just fill out a Direct Deposit Application and return it to us. As soon as your full retirement benefit is determined, your payments will be directly deposited into the account you specified on your enrollment application. Please note, while we are finalizing your retirement benefit you may receive advance payments, which are partial amounts of what your full retirement benefit will ultimately be. Advance payments will be made by paper check.
If you are a retiree or beneficiary and want to enroll in this program, or if you are already enrolled and want to change the account or bank where your retirement benefit is deposited, please complete a Direct Deposit Application (RS6370) and return it to the Retirement System.
A schedule of direct deposit dates can be found on our Pension Payment Calendar.
