The data reported is submitted to the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) by public authorities through the Public Authorities Reporting Information System (PARIS) which was implemented in 2007. Data submitted by the authorities to OSC outside of PARIS has also been used in some cases. Public authority data is self-reported and not verified by OSC.
