We examined Workers' Compensation Board (Board) payment requests during the period January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. We found the Board made 619 inappropriate payment requests totaling over $3.9 million, including $3.43 million in potential overpayments and $481,000 in potential underpayments. These included typing errors, duplicate payments, computation errors and payments not properly calculated according to the Workers' Compensation fee schedules.
