Y2K Compliance: Case Management and Other Systems The Department of Law uses the Case Management System to manage information relating to its active litigation. The Department also maintains two automated systems to manage information about charities, trusts and other such organizations, and maintains an automated system to manage information about certain types of activities involving real estate. We reviewed the actions taken by the Department in attempting to ensure that activities dependent on these four automated systems are not significantly disrupted because of data processing difficulties related to the year 2000. We found the Department is taking many of the actions needed to prevent such difficulties. However, delays in testing the four systems may not allow the Department enough time to resolve any unforeseen difficulties.
