Electronic Data Management Activities

We audited the Department's management of electronic data to determine the extent of redundant data. We found that only a minimal amount of data was redundant and action had been taken by the Department to eliminate this data. We also noted that certain actions were needed if efficient and effective use were to be made of new information technologies. For example, the Department needed to assess the consequences of continuing to use unintegrated computer systems. 95-D-18
