Oversight of Revenue Contracts and Fees

The Department of Transportation collects various fees, such as permit fees from trucks transporting certain types of items. It also collects revenue under certain of its contracts. We examined whether the Department was maximizing its revenue opportunities and found that improvements were needed. We identified a total of $2.8 million in unrealized revenue over our three-year audit period. We recommended actions that could be taken to realize such revenue in the future.
