New York City Technology Steering Committee

New York City Agencies: Business Continuity and Information Technology Disaster Recovery Plans (Follow-Up Report)

The New York City Technology Steering Committee is composed of certain designated City officials. The Committee is responsible for coordinating and overseeing New York City’s technology strategies. In audit 2006-N-1, we audited the manner in which New York City ensures that its agencies have adequate business continuity and information technology disaster recovery plans and effective oversight of these plans. We identified the need for certain corrective actions in these areas. When we followed up on these matters, we found that significant progress had been made by City officials in implementing our audit recommendations. Due to the sensitivity of the information, our detailed audit findings and recommendations were not included in either our original audit report or our follow-up report.
