Hudson River-Black River Regulating District

Accuracy of Employee Retirement Reporting

The Hudson River-Black River Regulating District regulates the flow of the Hudson River and the Black River to reduce flooding caused by excess run-off and to augment river flow at times of drought. The District enrolls many of its employees in the New York State Employees’ Retirement System. We examined the District’s enrollment practices and found that they complied with State requirements. In addition, the District is required to report certain information to the Retirement System about the enrolled employees’ earnings and number of days worked. We examined these reporting practices and found that the information reported by the District was accurate.
