Quality of Internal Control Certification
The Office for the Aging promotes, coordinates and administers State, federal and local programs and services for New Yorkers aged 60 and older. State agencies and public authorities must annually certify their compliance with important provisions of internal control. We examined the adequacy of the Office’s certification of compliance for the year ended March 31, 2008. We found that the certification met all State requirements, and the information in the certification was supported by documentation maintained by the Office.
