Network Security Controls

The Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) oversees programs for preventing and treating alcohol and substance abuse. OASAS has created a computer network that helps it perform its various duties. We examined selected aspects of the security controls in place over this network. We found that certain improvements were needed in these controls. So as not to compromise the security of the network, our detailed findings and recommendations were not included in our report, but were presented separately to OASAS officials throughout the course of our audit.
