Rockland Psychiatric Center: Internal Controls Over Overtime Practices

Rockland Psychiatric Center provides community-and hospital-based mental health services. We examined the controls over overtime at the Center and identified a number of weaknesses. For example, payments were sometimes made for overtime that was not properly documented. We also observed employees who did not appear to be alert enough to be performing their assigned duties. We recommended that a number of improvements be made in the Center’s controls over overtime.
