Vehicle Acquisition, Use and Disposition

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) provides about a quarter of the electricity used in New York State, selling electricity to investor-owned utilities, large industrial customers, and government agencies in the New York City area. We found NYPA did not always accurately identify vehicles in its inventory records, and did not fully comply with IRS guidelines for calculating the income to be credited to employees for their personal use of employer-provided vehicles.
