Internal Controls Over Financial Operations (Follow-Up Report)

The Archives Partnership Trust was created in 1992 to preserve and make accessible the archives from New York’s colonial and State governments. The Trust is funded by annual State appropriations, public donations, and an endowment. In audit report 2005-S-24, we examined the Trust’s internal controls over its financial operations and found that improvements were needed in the controls over Trust investments, contract award practices and equipment inventories. When we followed up on these matters with Trust officials, we found that they had made good progress in implementing our audit recommendations.
