Certification of Compliance with Internal Control Provisions

The State Office for the Aging promotes, coordinates and administers State, Federal and local programs and services for New Yorkers aged 60 and older. We examined the Office’s certification of compliance for the year ended March 31, 2005 to determine whether it was fairly stated in all material respects. We found that the certification of compliance was fairly stated, and concluded that, overall, the Office had established an effective system of internal control over its financial operations.
