Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance

Contract with the New York Association for New Americans

The contractor provided training and job placement services to eligible immigrant refugees. We determined that a refund of $62,561 was due the State from the $6.7 million paid to the contractor, mainly because some of the costs claimed by the contractor were not documented. We also identified a need for improvement in the contractor’s documentation practices and the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance’s monitoring of the contractor.
