Internal Controls Over Financial Operations

The Governor's Traffic Safety Committee consists of the heads of 13 State agencies with traffic safety concerns, and was created to act as a liaison with the U. S. Department of Transportation. We reviewed the Committee’s internal controls over its basic financial operations. We found that certain improvements were needed in the Committee's controls over equipment, employee time and attendance practices, and access to its automated information systems.
