Department of Agriculture and Markets
Marketing Order Expenses and Revenues The Department of Agriculture and Markets issues rules and regulations called marketing orders that are intended to enable certain agricultural producers more effectively correlate the marketing of their products with market demand. The costs of administering the marketing orders are funded by assessments levied by the Department on the growers. We audited the financial statements prepared by the Department to account for the expenses and revenues related to its marketing orders for the three years ended either June 30, 2000 or March 31, 2000. We concluded that these financial statements were presented fairly in all material respects.
