Department of Labor

Contract with Curtis & Associates, Inc.

The contractor provided job readiness training and job placement and retention services to public assistance recipients. We determined that a refund of $130,425 was due the State from the $151,550 paid to the contractor, mainly because services were not provided in accordance with contract terms. For example, many of the individuals served by the contractor did not meet minimum attendance requirements for the training sessions, or were not placed or retained in jobs as required by the contract.
