Riverbank State Park: Compliance with Mission Statement and Selected Financial Management Practices

We evaluated whether Riverbank State Park, which is located in New York City and was opened in 1993, has fulfilled its mission of serving its community, and found that the Park has generally fulfilled this mission in accordance with plans. However, we note that certain actions could be taken by Park officials that would enhance the services provided to the community. We also examined the adequacy of the internal controls over certain aspects of the Park's financial operations. We found that improvements are needed in the Park's procurement and cash handling practices.
