Internal Controls Over Revenues

Battery Park City Authority was created to supervise the development of a planned residential and commercial community in lower Manhattan. During the year ended October 31, 1998, the Authority reported revenues from leases, investments and other sources totaling $133.2 million. We examined the Authority's internal controls over its revenues and found that these controls are generally good. However, the controls would be further strengthened if improvements were made in certain accounting and investment review practices.
