New Dues Deduction Code for Graduate Assistants

A new deduction code (249 PSC Dues Grad Assistants) has been established for the reporting of dues for Graduate Assistants in Bargaining Unit T8. Employees in this group, currently reported with code 274, will be changed automatically to the new deduction code 249 in the paychecks dated March 11, 1999.

Professional Staff Congress Dues Increases

Effective with the paychecks of March 11, 1999, the amount of the bi-weekly dues (code 274) for part-time titles in bargaining unit T8, will be changed automatically from $7.40 to $7.69 bi-weekly. Also effective with the paychecks dated March 11, 1999, the amount of bi-weekly dues (code 249) for Graduate Assistants in bargaining unit T8, will be automatically changed from $5.13 to $5.32.

Changes to Professional Staff Congress Dues Reporting

Continue to report dues (code 274) for full-time annual employees in Bargaining Unit T8 selecting Default to Deduction Table for the Deduction Calculation Routine.

Report the dues (code 274) for part-time employees in Bargaining Unit T8 selecting Flat/ADD amount for the Deduction Calculation Routine and enter $7.69 as the deduction amount.

Report the dues (code 249) for Graduate Assistants in Bargaining Unit T8 selecting Flat/ADD amount for the Deduction Calculation Routine and enter $5.32 as the deduction amount.
