Automatic Rate Increases and Name Changes for Certain Plans in the CUNY Transit Benefit Transportation Spending Account (TSA) Program

Purpose

To inform agencies of automatic rate increases and name changes for certain plans under the CUNY Transit Benefit TSA Program.

Affected Employees

Employees who participate in the CUNY Transit Benefit TSA Program and are enrolled in the Frequent Rider Plans #1 and #2 or the Express Bus Rider Plan

OSC Actions/Rate Increases

At the request of CUNY University Benefits Office, OSC will automatically increase biweekly rates for employees enrolled in the Frequent Rider Plan #1 and the Express Rider Plan for the following deduction codes:

Effective Date(s)

Plan Name Changes

Effective March 2005, the Frequent Rider Plan #1 will be named the “Monthly Unlimited Card Plan” and the Frequent Rider Plan #2 will be named the “Weekly Trip Plan.”

CUNY Benefits Office Actions

The CUNY University Benefits Office will send a notification to all employees enrolled in this program informing them of these changes.

A new revised enrollment form will also be provided by the Benefits Office that will be updated with the new rates, names and pertinent information regarding future rate increases.

Agency Actions

New rate amounts must be used for all future enrollments beginning in checks dated March 17, 2005.
