Purpose
To notify agencies of an automatic Dues and Agency Shop Fee increase and a one-time retroactive adjustment.
Background
NYSCOPBA membership dues for those affected by the agreement will increase retroactively as follows:

Affected Employees
Employees who are members of NYSCOPBA, Inc. and are currently in or have been in Bargaining Unit 21 at any time since 3/25/04 with Dues (Code 491) or Agency Shop Fee (Code 495).
Note: No retroactive dues adjustment will be submitted by NYSCOPBA for employees in the title of Lifeguard.
All Bargaining Unit 21 employees including Lifeguards will have an increase in Dues or Agency Shop Fee to the current $19.06 biweekly amount.

Paychecks dated January 23, 2008 (Administration)
Paychecks dated January 31, 2008 (Institution)
OSC Actions
OSC will automatically increase the biweekly deduction to $19.06 for Dues (Code 491) and Agency Shop Fee (Code 495).
In addition, OSC will process a file from NYSCOPBA to automatically implement a one-time retro Dues/Agency Shop Fee adjustment for members in Bargaining Unit 21.
