To notify agencies of changes to New York City resident tax withholding tables

Affected Employees

State employees who LIVE in the five boroughs of New York City

Effective Dates

Paychecks dated July 29, 1999 for Institutional payroll

Paychecks dated August 4, 1999 for Administrative payroll

Impact

The withholding rates for New York City residents have been reduced, effective July 1, 1999. As a result, employees who live in New York City may have a slight decrease in withheld taxes and a corresponding increase in net pay.
